When I’m looking for inspiration or new idea’s, I need to make sure I’m in the right state of mind first. I believe the best way to learn something new or to be amazed is outside your own comfort zone. If you don’t have a comfort zone, it will be very hard to step out of it to experience the beauty of life.

‘Life starts outside your comfort zone’

I have several comfort zones – indoor and outdoors – even in different countries and continents. I’m not expecting you to have them all at once, it took me a while to create them. But when I’m there, I’m in the zone, I’m the best version of myself.

My indoor zones all share my core values. All have a certain amount of creativity
– music, design, paintings – and ambition in the form of Motivation Quotes and books, A LOT OF books! I like to keep these zones organized and serene.

My outdoor zones share pure nature, silence and water.
Full with inspiration, natural colors, lines and patterns – I’m a sucker for patterns! –

I want you to create your comfort zones. Today, this weekend, indoor, outdoor, all at once, piece by piece, that’s entirely up to you.
Write/design them in your journal, write down what you like to have inside your zone and why you want those things to be there. Use your imagination, what do they look like?
Do they make you feel secure? Powerful? Successful?

Don’t know where to start?
Here’s one of mine – Comfort zone: Room – place to sleep, relax.
I want my books around, an easy chair, a table with a vase full of flowers, a window and natural scent. Candles, little things with a special memory, a cd player and that small painting on the wall I got from that person a loved. I feel safe when I’m here, I can relax, slow down after a busy day, I can lock the door and be just all by myself.

Don’t forget, you’re going in your direction, there is no wrong or right, you’re doing great!
